Booking, cancellation and privacy information

What’s included
A November course consists of four live 50-minute video lessons on the advertised dates. The advertised fee is for all four lessons, payable once through Stripe. The course goes ahead from its first confirmed booking; there is no minimum number of learners. The maximum is six. If only one learner books, all four lessons will be taught one-to-one at the same course price.
Course guarantee and changes by us
We will not cancel a November course because too few learners have booked. Once the first booking is confirmed, we will teach the four sessions on the advertised dates and times, even for one learner. If unavoidable circumstances prevent us from delivering a lesson or course as agreed, we will contact you using the email supplied at booking and offer suitable replacement arrangements or a refund for undelivered lessons. You do not have to accept a different course. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
Your cancellation rights
If you buy a course online as a consumer, you generally have a legal 14-day cancellation period starting the day after the contract is made, subject to applicable exceptions. To cancel, email us at eflwithpaul@gmail.com and give your booking details. Where you expressly ask for teaching to begin during the cancellation period, and the required disclosures and permissions are in place, a reasonable proportionate charge for lessons delivered may apply if you later cancel. Nothing here limits your statutory rights.
Joining and attendance
After verifying payment and suitability for the class, we will send a confirmation email and Google Meet joining details. Use the link privately and do not share it. If you miss a live class, contact us; a replacement session is not automatically included.
Enquiries and your information
When you enquire or book, we use the name, email address, course preferences, country/time zone and information you choose to provide to respond, administer bookings, deliver lessons and manage customer service. We may also need to keep relevant transaction records for accounting and legal compliance. Card details are handled by Stripe; we do not ask you to email card details.
Marketing messages
Registering for a free lesson or enquiring about a course does not subscribe you to marketing. On forms that offer an optional, unticked marketing-consent checkbox, you may choose to receive occasional emails from English With Paul about speaking tips, free events, new courses and offers. Consent is separate from registration and is not required to attend. We record the consent choice, the date and source when available, and the wording used. Marketing emails are sent only where we have a suitable lawful basis, including the appropriate opt-in where required. You can withdraw your consent and object to marketing at any time by replying to our email or writing to eflwithpaul@gmail.com, without affecting your free-class registration. We maintain a suppression list to prevent further marketing to people who opt out. You may ask to access or correct your data and raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
